[ Working for the man every night & day ]

The title is slightly misleading, considering, I don’t work for a man. My boss is a woman! But anyways, I thought the title kind of fit the subject of my blog.

I had my first day of work yesterday! I work at a coffee/bakery shop basically. It was kind of overwhelming at first, there’s a lot to know! First you have to memorize all of the cookies/brownies/cupcakes/cakes/loaves/coffees/teas that they offer. I’m starting to get familiar with them. They all look so yummy! There are almond macaroons, mint brownies, bundt cakes, coffee cakes………yeees, you have permission to start drooling NOW! Of course none of this is free for me *sigh* but I do get free scones/biscuits/muffins/bagels, etc. and free coffee! WOOOHOO! Free coffee! NOW I CAN STAY UP ALL NIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just kidding. But yeah, everything else costs money, but apparently we get a 20% discount, which isn’t bad at all!

So yeah, other than getting familiar with everything there, I basically refilled all the cupcake/cookie trays, refilled napkin holders, cleaned up, got some coffee, learned a little bit of the basics of the register, charged credit cards, tasted some yummy things, etc. Everyone there is super nice, helpful, and funny too. It’s a really great atmosphere

The only downside is, the time seemed to go by SUPER slowly. Idk if it’s because I didn’t actually do much the first day or what, but 3 hours felt like a whole day.
